When you say you were recruited, what do you mean? It matters because, if you meet any of the criteria for a recruited athlete (they gave you an official visit, had off-campus contact with you or your parents, initiated more than one phone call with your or your parents), you would have to sit out for a year when you transfer to a D1. Also, you would need permission before contacting other schools about transferring.
