When is it OK for your team to get into a physical altercation?

As a HS coach, I have always been required to set clear rules to our players for no physical fighting and, for that matter, even leaving the bench. But this? To be honest, I would be disappointed if there were anyone left on our bench if this happened to one of their teammates.

Worst cheap shot I've seen in a very long time. The guy that got hit must have been playing some hellacious D against the dude leading up to that point.

(Yes, the player was properly suspended and expelled from the campus)
