There are lots of suggestions about email timing/content if you search the site. I will say that some consensus points are a) PROOFREAD (no grammatical or spelling mistakes) b) write in your voice (not a parent's), c) include things like an 88 mph velo in the subject line; d) include something personal or specific to that school.
