yep, there's jerks everywhere. If that coach would have heard the same comment from someone else he'd probably be going nuts...
We had a similar deal the other night. During pre-game warmups their coach was really negative, throwing around a lot of bad language and just being a bully to his players. They played really well and we won a close game (in part due to a batting out of order he cost his team an out) He told one of our fans (a grandpa) to shutup or he'd kick his azz.... I try not be a rabbit-ears but some guys are jerks.
We got out of there with no altercation or what have you but I would imagine (like 2709 says) by the end of June he'll either be on suspension or his kids will just evaporate... which is the sad outcome... I guess he got suspended last fall from youth football... what a bunch of rambling.
My take... just try to move on and be glad you don't have to deal with this clown.
