... you heard the National Anthem at a youth (pre college) baseball game?

Last week while killing time waiting for umpires, one of our coaches started talking in the dugout about what a priviledge and pleasure it is to play baseball. He asked the kids if they ever just stop to think about it. He said when the national anthem was playing was when he was a player, he thought about it. I was the same way.

Then it dawned on me. With all the coaching and watching I've done in softball from 7/8's through 18U and baseball from 7/8's through 16U so far, the only time I've heard the national anthem is at LL games and the opening ceremonies of nationals in softball. When I was a kid it was played before every game.

When was the last time you heard the national anthem at a youth (pre college) baseball game?
