Everyone and the "screwed kid in LL" dads are running travel teams. I remember these conversations with dad coaches. I tried to keep them short. I'm not big on listening to excuses. It never turned out the kid was good.
What parents often described as screwed in LL is their kid was one of five candidates for the last roster spot. He didn't get it. Plus in the parents mind he shou,d have been a starter. After all he was hitting .400. The problem is he was hitting .200 against the good pitching and .600 against the stiffs.
Not true. Haven't seen a single grandma or any screwed kid in LL dad running a single travel team in the 15-18U ages. And I've seen hundreds of teams.
