Wood bats will need to be bbcor certified if they have any laminations or core, composite handles etc. Anything other than a solid chunk of wood. Recommended bats from college and or young pro players are the Demarini composite wood bat or the Baum Bat. I dont know the exact demarini but an older model had a resin or metal core through the length of the bat and wood was laminated on top. These bats should last many years if not forever, although sometimes the lamination resin may start to work a little loose. For straight wood bats, we are fans of maple. Each one has lasted multiple season, but our next purchase will probably be one of the 2 bats mentioned
