Reply to "which position should i try out for"

Do the very best you can at the positions you have been playing already.

A lot of coaches go by body type.

If you can hit HR's tryout for whatever position you want.

If you are tall and lanky with good speed and have a good arm, try out for the OF. If you are slower than maybe 1B or pitcher.

If you are smaller and fast tryout for the infield.

If you are bigger then most kids your age but slower of foot try out for 1B or 3B or catcher, if you can hit for average.
