Those are both huge programs with multiple branches. Make sure you are comparing the specific teams your son will be on. I know both programs go to a lot of national events, but for every 1 team that goes there are many that do not. I would ask which events your son is slated to go to and be wary of “if he earns it, we go to...” statements. Both have great men at the helm and I would think extensive networks, it’s just a matter of will your player be one of the ones they are talking about. Trosky has a great reputation and knows A TON of people, but if he doesn’t know who you kid is then it’s just a name on the front of your jersey. I would see if you could meet the specific coach your player would be working with. I would also ask if it’s a set roster or if they will be bringing in players from the franchise for tournaments (had that happen to a friend, a stud from the east coast was brought in to AZ so he could get exposure with west coast teams, but nobody told her catcher son that he would have minimal playing time sitting out in hot Phoenix in July). I would have your son ask his HS coach as well. I’m sure he knows both programs in your area. Good Luck! Is he a 2021 or 2022?
