I feel bad for the kid too but if you are a pitcher and you had appearances then your ERA is more than likely going to be in your bio. I can't explain the "lone strike out" other than it was probably a student in the sports information office that wrote the bio. They were probably looking for a bright spot to highlight but I agree, they could have chosen better wording.
