Who to contact ahead of showcases?

Being proactive is a widely agreed upon "tactic" so i have a question. My son (2016) is going to a few showcases / camps this summer (headfirst and Stanford). he has sent out a few introductory emails to coaches that are scheduled to attend and has received some responses. As he moves forward with sending out a few more he has come across a few schools that have a recruiting director or head of recruiting listed on their website. In those cases is it more considerate to send the email to that person even though they are not scheduled to be at the events (or at least not shown to be) or bypass them and send to coach attending?
