Reply to "Why Can't You Throw Faster then 100 MPH?"

Nolan Ryan was 100.9 across the plate in 1974, would have been 108.5 on the jugs gun at the time.

Dalkowski as a teammate told me the story at the time threw 93.5 across the plate , he was throwing on level ground too. he pitched the night before, and took him 40 minutes to throw one strike.

Basically it was a box used to time missles on and you had to throw a baseball through it to get a speed.

Bob Feller was clocked at 98.6 on it.

Dalkowski was clocked in the morning and Dalkowski was throwing with no sleep and he was drunk too when they clocked him.
