In this era of helicopter parenting, I'm all in favor of the rules.

I remember the dad of one of my son's select teammates who insisted on carrying his son's bat bat everywhere. He also insisted on giving his son a 1-hour massage each day of every tournament we played. He had no idea how he appeared to others.
