Though I am guessing games are still more then 3 weeks away.
I have a 2017 who plays ball. Funny thing is I still have that feeling in the pit of my stomach that hopes everything works out for him. Not sure why, he is one of about 5 kids on the soph team that is already starting to generate some college buzz (a couple of mid DI schools have provide either phone # or cell #'s to him). He has been asked to tryout with the V team and has worked pretty hard all winter to make sure he is ready to go. Most likely he will end up on the Sophomore team.
Our school has a history of not moving kids up levels. We are a big school. About 900 kids per class. 2 Frosh teams, a large Soph team and a large V/JV team. Its a big honor to just be asked to try out with the V. Normally its only pitchers or position players that are asked. According to the coach they have not asked a two way player to try out with V in at least 5 years.
