Great story HV and thank you for sharing. It's a job where you can touch a kid's life in a very positive way and have a little fun. Always loved those umps who would spend a little time talking to or advising the kids. Sounds like the kids are lucky to have the new ump. $18.00 - he didn't take the job to get rich anyway.
