16u pitcher launched a channel to help younger kids learn how to pitch. Needs your support and input.
Hey Guys. Hope this is the right place to post this...I just read a previous post about how there are less kids signing up for baseball and some who are unsure of continuing in the sport. Well there are some kids who are out there trying to reverse that trend. One of them created a channel called Pitching Tutors on You tube. If you have a minute, go check out the content and give your feedback. Whether it's support or constructive criticism, any engagement of content creators will help to...

I can't get any attention or interest from coaches. 2021 RHP, 87 MPH FB
Hello all- 2021 RHP here. I have been trying very hard for the past two years to get noticed, get attention, and interest from college coaches. Email has been the means of communication, and I have pretty good skills in writing these sorts of letters. I spend an hour writing a letter to a coach, and get a two sentence response a while later usually, very generic typically and impersonnel. 99% of the time, I just get a prospect camp invite. I am not emailing schools like Florida or Vandy...

Re: My Mechanics
Someone who should beg for giveness is the person who takes money from a player or parent to tteach pitching and doesn't even know what the wheel play is. All it shows is that you have no playing background or coaching background. You keep talking about science proving wrong. You are not even knowledgeable enough to read the studies and understand them. You take someone's word for it or post line out of context because it appears to meet your agenda. Then you crow about how you have proof...

Re: 5A Playoffs Rd 1: Lewisville vs Lamar
Choate is a SOLID ball player. There is not a position on the field he can't play. Personally, I think he'd be a top notch catcher if he wanted to stay back there. Quick feet and release. The ball does not get by him either. Great kid too! Oh yeah, a member of the Marshal Nation KD you may get your wish of a KHS vs. LHS showdown.

Re: Marshal nation...
We have offered a position to Brett to be our 7-14U director and to continue coaching our 12U team. I will continue to handle the 15-18's and the college team. There is only one Marshal in McKinney and it is Senor Henneman. I think that makes the rest of us Deputies?

Re: Marshal nation...
Regardless, Brett's a good baseball guy. Good for him and good for the Marshal Nation. He coached my freshman when he was 14U and 15U...learned more in two years than he had learned in the previous 8.

As you know, my son has played for them as a guest player...and I agree that they will be fine. Your team is a great group of kids with a ton of talent -- arguably one of the top 16U teams in the state. You have solid parental support and play for a stong organization. Concerning this situation, you are correct,...

Leader or divider?
Over the years coaches have told my son they expect him to be a leader. Particularly when he catches, they have encouraged him to help direct other players, encourage players etc. (he's a sophomore in high school, just playing spring ball). Second baseman, a friend of my son's, caught the ball from outfield, and made a very fast and very high throw to third that missed totally. Runner went...

A Player's Confidence
We all know the peaks and valleys in competitive sports. We have even heard pro's and coaches say they try and stay on a median plane no matter how it's going. Confidence is derived from hard work and utilized in specific moments of time. Confidence has purpose and comes through preparation for the task...
