Catchers: More Than Catching Pitchers

Al McCormick ·
My son is a catcher, and one of the things that would disappoint me is how most clinics took advantage of him (needed someone to catch the pitchers). After searching I finally found someone who combined all the practical mechanics with the mental and...

Re: Mid Atlantic Rookies vs NorCal East?

SporT.. It's a no-brainer. Mike Chroniger all the way. Do a search on the site, and you will find only good and positive things on him. I have seen college coaches flock to him. He will bring out the best in your player. He is truth as advertised....and a good man to boot. The earlier you can get with Mike, the better.

Going back to the original question put forward, I think RHobbs offered up a great list of Mid-Atlantic clubs. Every program shines in some manner, and every program will have its warts. The key is to find the right fit for your player's personality, goals, and family budget. Another excellent program is the Mid-Atlantic Rookies. Coach Chroniger is a great baseball guy, and a tremendous human being. My son had the pleasure of playing for Coach Chroniger his Freshman year of HS, and he was a...

Re: Showcases for August-Fall 2008?

Dear Mdbaseball2008: Again, I would give Matt Werts a call at Elite Baseball of Lancaster PA.http://www.elitebaseballoflancaster.com/ His fall team which consisted of players from MD...signed...all of them. He is very well connected and respected among schools in the PSAC, along with about two dozen DI schools in the Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. When we first met him, I tested him a bit, by giving him the name of a local pitcher who attended a very small private Christian HS. This...

Re: NDA?

GTbaseball9 ·
NDA has three returning starters, P-Crosby, C-Forsten & middle infielder Wong. For the 08 season NDA is young and inexperienced. A typical line up would be made up of 2 seniors, 3 juniors, 2 sophomores & 2 freshmen. In the off season Coach Lockhart worked hard on bringing in kids. He was met with resistance from the school. The higher ups claim this is not the case but it was. Around the New Year the school made him aware a contract would not be offered to him for the 08 / 09 year.

Re: PG Mid Atlantic Underclass Showcase

44hokie ·
In response to trepfan: I would say that any PG event is worth the money. They are truely first class and anything first class is expensive. Even so, I don't think anyone there is getting rich. The money is put back into making each event sucessful. I have not been as impressed with Blue-Gray. But opinions are like **** orifaces...everybody has one. Your opinion of Mike Chroniger smells like you pulled it out of yours. I grew up in a baseball family, I raised a baseball family, and I sure...

Re: MID ATLANTIC ROOKIES

ND DAD ·
Hey Hit It Here, Let me tell you about Mike Chroniger. He is the most fair and sincere coach I have ever seen in my life. My son played for him for two summers and a fall season. Because of Mike, my son received a scholarship to play ball at Notre Dame in before school started his senior year. he is a freshman there now. L. Cooper #36. (on ND web site) Mike put my son in front of no less than 400 college and pro scouts in the first summer alone. probably 1200 overall. He only takes his team...

Re: Gruff vs. Class

CubanLefty ·
I play at The Bullis School. Actually played for Mr. Sweeney but feel that as a teacher he just wasn't up there. He was a good coach and led us to good things but the teacher and development at this stage is more important. Over the summer I am playing with Maryland Patriots and coach Chroniger as our coach. If your son is interested we do have 1 spot open for summer play. If you want to send me a PM I would be glad to speak with you. Thanks Cuban

I do my indoor work with Chroniger on Sundays at the Germantown S****rplex. Oh man--- Joe Stolz--- when I played fall MCBA that guy was crazy. I've never seen anybody get so rowled up. I think I probably know where your son got offered. I too was offered a place at another private school after the camp. Cuban
