Good luck! I once was a pool champ as well. Nothing on the lines you are talking about. Small bars and I was very young. Used to play about 3 hours a day. Again, nothing like you are talking about. I put my cue up when my Uncle was left on a dock in Memphis, Tennessee for "hustling." Haven't used it since. I still have it but haven't played in over 25 years. Old kind and since I was small, major counterweight on the end which also served as a weapon. Ironically, as much as I loved it back...

BTW - Harvard is usually a pretty good Ivy League team and is usually still alive in the competition for Red Rolfe division champion on the last weekend of the Ivy season. Winner of Red Rolfe plays 3 game series for Ivy League championship vs. Lou Gehrig division winner. Ivy Champ then gets toasted in NCAA regionals in 2 or 3 games.

Moved to Al 23 years ago from South Florida, my point is I have no dog in the fight. Truth is, in this state, even after (or especially after) a national championship Bammers can't stand the thought of an Auburn nat. champ/Heisman winner doublewhammy and this is an intentionally timed smear campaign. Focus is now no longer on the team's success but on possible scandal. Mission accomplished. PS. I know it started with Miss. State but in the SEC all 11 opponents are snakes that will conspire...

So, Alabama did this to Auburn? If not directly, by ganging up with the other members of the SEC and MSU drew the "rat on them" straw? I don't buy it. Neither Newton nor Auburn are victims here. With that logic, Bernie Madoff was the victim because Harry Markopolos blew the whistle on Madoff. One word...silly.

From the Southeastern District....Western Branch is the favorite returning it's entire team with at least 3 D1 caliber players including 2 pitchers in Thompson and Johsonbaugh. Expect them to be more effective offensively this year to go with the strong pitching and and sound defensive team. I believe they will go undefeated in the district unless someone throws a lights out game at them. If they score 4 or more they probably won't lose to very many teams. All of the teams listed are very good teams and I am sure there are others out there who have matured a few younger guys and have a great coach that can maybe find a way to Austin. Just about everyone recognizes CC teams are good and even a guy in Sherman might vote them in top 10 on history alone. Brenham is the defending champ with quite a few starters back so they deserve to be recognized and 15 state tournaments is in the pudding. Heath...

There is no specific criteria to be COY. The coaches vote on it just as they do for players. Most of the time it goes to the Coach of the Regular season champ. If FC beats Cox then both teams have to win-out and hope OL loses one of its final district games. Three-way tie with FC tie-breaker over Cox, Cox tie-breaker over OL, and OL tie-breaker over FC creates an interesting situation. I think the...

I called the fall of Goffstown, They are one of the better teams in Class L, but not the top team. Mike as for the 3 game series format, I like the idea, but I think it is more important to get a real state champion, Portsmouth can agrue that they were the best team in the state, but because they're in a lower class, some would think they are not. Class L plays Class M champ, Class I plays Class S champ and winners face off for real state championship.

You can achieve what your mind can concieve. The prototypical college player is 6' 200# with skills. If you watch practice and it looks way over your head, then it is. If you can't see it your mind, then it probably won't happen. My son was a junior and we took him to watch the school's team he eventually played (well) on. With 6 out of 7 teams making the tourney, they ought to just seed them all and let 'em all play. Just one bye, to the regular season champ. With the city teams gone, this is like musical chairs. One team has no chair when the season ends. When you eliminate only one team, that's kind of silly. Either eliminate more, or none. It wasn't that long ago the district tourney was for only the top 4.

Re: 3/24 games? Rain outs?

I agree Midlo. Play them all OR seed the top 4 IMHO and be done with it. While we're at it, we should play back to back games in the regular season district games like they do in college. In that manner, you will see the top pitching that each team can offer. There is no hiding or ducking a pitcher or matchup. Your top 4 teams will be your top 4 teams if you follow that format. I hate to see kids quit or get dismissed if that is true. I hope they can work it out at Midlothian.
