Why YOU Could Be To Blame For BAD BODY LANGUAGE!

Why this may be the most important message you've ever read... Can mental toughness be taught? You want to know what I think? Yes! But you know what… It starts with parents and coaches like us, we’ve got to hold our kids accountable inside every single activity! We can’t let them off the hook and point the finger at the umpire, coach or teacher and when that “poor me” body language pops up… SQUASH IT! If not, it’s bound to happen again! Body language is powerful! In fact, your character and...

The #1 Strength technique to prevent Arm Injury

Do you have a Superior Labrum Anterior to Posterior (SLAP) tear? Do you want to know how to prevent a SLAP tear, Elbow pain, or any significant injury from happening as a baseball player? Enter Chris, a 15y/o left handed pitcher who was throwing good heat for his age (sitting in the low 80's) without any formal pitcher training. Chris began developing a painful pinch on the back of shoulder early in the Spring of 2014 in the late cocking position. This pain eventually brought him to my...

Poor Velocity from Poor Lay Back in Late Cocking?

[Let’s take a step back in time…….] “WTF….Why are they not improving their velocity with all the hard work they’ve been putting in?” Hours spent in the gym each week working on strength and power exercises, with years of evidence backing that up. Weeks spent honing their craft (they’re baseball pitchers btw), further ingraining the mechanics and postures they’ve been taught to avoid. I even personally examined these kids for any anatomical maladies that would prevent this sort of thing from...

Speed!!!!!

JABMK ·
My 2015 6’2” 205lb catcher is challenged to say the least when being timed is the 60. His last 60 time was 8.0. He has trained and worked hard over the last couple of month but can’t seem to increase his time. He is a lefty hitter with good power, strong arm and excellent defensive skills and will not give up. He continues to train with a program. Will a D1 consider a player with no speed?
