Hopper - Your original question was about Perfect Game which I have been told puts on good showcases, but there are others you can investigate including Top96 which hosts showcases nationally. Their website is: www.top96.com . I echo what was mentioned that before you spend lots of time and money on only one company's showcase you look into others showcases, especially those locally that are free or considerable cheaper. I like what Benchwarmer said, you can spend more money attending...

Re: Vison as it pertains to hitting....

leachy ·
In my opinion, I don't think it can be simulated in a cage. For one, a players intensity and concentration is not the same as it is in the game. Different things happen when they turn the score-board on and there's a guy standing on the mound with a different color jersey on. I think the only way one can get use to hitting a 90mph fastball is by facing a live pitcher at 60'6". Regards, Jalal Leach CEO Baseball Mentoring Program www.bmp18.com

Great idea and some good suggestions already. I would try to keep it simple and focused on your objectives for staff. Pick the 5 most important things you want them focused on and fill in some background information from there. Every one of the kids should be able to repeat to you what ever “your 5” is. Use the KISS approach. I would build the book up over time and not try to do the full thing in one pass. Webball has some stuff you can extract and potentially use at: www.webball.com .

The common charts that are kept are a scorebook (with notes), pitchers chart, opposing pitchers chart, spray chart, Catcher's Performance Summary, and there are other different ones that some teams choose to keep. I have some of those posted on the downloads page of my website www.catching-101.com, and other can be found through a google search.

Hi CPLZ, I am stichaholic too. If you want a break from the frustrations of Gametracker, collegebaseball360.com is live casting games from the Big 10/Big East Challenge all day today. It's a single high shot from high above home plate and on my screen the players look like ants, but compared to Gametracker it's pure heaven. Go Blue!

Re: How to contact college coaches

CoachS ·
You ask a good question, but there are three or four things you need to consider as well: 1) Getting recruited is directly related to how many college coaches know you, know OF you, and/or have seen you play. Some college coaches are fine with video, others are more "old school" and need to see you in person to pass judgement. 2) Which coaches and which schools you contact is, to a large degree, a guessing game as to whether or not you would be considered a good or hot prospective recruit.

My son hung up the cleats last May and no longer plays for Dallas Baptist, but we are still huge DBU fans. What a thrilling day for the Patriots! To score the tying run in the 9th and then the go-ahead run in the 10th against a contender from last year's CWS was unbelievable. DBU faces the winner of tonight's TCU-Oral Roberts game on Saturday night -- to be broadcast on www.espn3.com . DBU has already beaten TCU twice this season (once at home, once away), so it is certainly not impossible...

Greenbrier beat themselves in game one giving up 8 unearned runs(10-9 in 9 inn), after the first game jitters left they settled in to take care of business in game 2(6-3). Solid starts from Jordan Adair & Sean Poppen and good relief from Caleb Ferrell. Kam Stewart & Adair led the way at the plate going a combined 7 for 12 with 2 HR, 2 doubles and 6 RBI's. Infield Dad and JB; http://www.ysn365.com/ As you are aware in 1987 when I founded the Area Code games, we used wood and on our Goodwill Series teams to Australia we use wood. Last week, I watched SSU play Chico State and participated in a discussion with my friend a pro scout. We discussed a SSU player who has already hit 11 HR. The pro scouts deduct 40-50 feet on HR hit with metal. Yesterday while I viewed the Easter tournament in Petaluma. They used wood bats and I was interview regarding...

http://collegesearch.collegebo...com/search/index.jsp Go to the link, use the college matchmaker. Sounds corny, but the data is quite good. You can specify a sport, and varsity level, and D1,2 or 3, or all. You can specify colleges with a particular major (eg. accounting). It will give you a list of all the schools meeting your criteria, and allow you to sort it. Try sorting by declining math or verbal SAT scores. That will give you a rough academic ranking of the schools. You'll find you...
