Life is good then, RZ - I would suggest a combo with extra cheese, a nice glass of wine, and Bull Durham in the DVD player as a great way to pass a snowy afternoon.

Actually it will be garlic/butter shrimp with Bloody Mary's made with home made tomatoe juice garnished with Pickled asparaus and the biggest Sicilian olives you have ever seen. Today slippers are the shoe of choice.

BigWi, you have my sympathies - - when I get off work I may just play 9 then just kick back and relax at the pool - - you may just have it pegged with the bloody mary tho



actually the 9 will have to be nintento 64, the pool would be picking superbowl squares, plus unfortunatly I just happened to pick a snow shovel with a handle much too small for my hands

We left the Cherry Hill Clinic early this morning to beat it home--just started and we are due to get anywhere form 15 to 18 inches and have 40 PH Winds

But I just had a three day BASEBALL FIX and tomorrow we have the football playoffs-- I am OK for now!!!1

Just got home from son's baseball practice.

Here in NC it was 70 last week and we were on the field practicing. Now its 28 and freezing rain coming down. Next week it supposed to be high 50's and sunny. In the summer its humid and hot. In the fall its great 70's 80's in the spring its ok and in the winter it stinks. Sometimes I envy you guys in Fla Cal Arizona etc.

As long as they have a snow shovel I'll take them in. The snow plow must be lurking around the corner waiting for me dig out the end of the driveway. As soon as I dig out and dry off, he comes by and drops the nasty.

The absolute best spectator sport at my high school was wrestling. They were 72-0 while I was there.

The home matches in a dedicated low ceiling room with 10 rows of bleachers packed on 4 sides on top of the mat, Iron Butterfly blasting.

Remember I said it was still snowing, I now have about 8 inches more to clean off the driveway.

We knew that this was too mild of a winter and we were going to get hit sooner or later!!

I still remember my first HS match. I made varsity because I was the only one at that weight class (brand new school only 10th grde that year). I wrestled the state runner up from the previous year.

I was pinned in 30 seconds and he had me in a guillotine

My sympathies on the snow, you guys are worse off than us in South Dakota! Not snowing but below zero and 45 mph today (had to dodge a tree down in the road this AM) Supposed to be 35 degrees tomorrow, yeaaaa.

Really bumming though, seems with the new school, the interium interferes with the spring break schedule (delays it) so all the tourneys are probably over by March 25th in the warm weather states May not get to go anywhere warm after all.

Thanks guys, didn't mean to change the snow subject, but I have a new video camera and am learning how to grab frames into photos. The cradle was my first effort....not bad! I didn't wrestle in high school, but my best friends did, so I was always the dummy. I remember asking my buddy what the guillotine was. Bummer, he showed me! Ouch!

Look at this pathetic amount of snow!! And yet the kids were SO excited!! It's maybe 1/16th of an inch. Korea gets very cold, but just not the snow the old-timers talk about. Having grown up in Michigan, I appreciate monster snowfalls, and I envy all of you getting blasted right now!!

It was sunny today and I had to mow the lawn. But you probably don't want to hear about that...

Krakatoa, I'm with you. Grew up in Pa, went to Pitt (go Panthers!), and actually miss the snow. Not the ice, but the snow. I think we are the only two in the universe who feel this way though! It "snowed" here on Christmas eve- if you looked hard enough! I dragged everyone outside to "experience"it!

Hay BigWi sure fell bad most of the snow went south. We got about 8" in Wi. Rapids Good idea about the wrestling, I need to go see some this week. They take wrestling kind of serious around hear.

baseball #1 is being modest... Wisconsin Rapids boasts far and away the #1 wrestling team in the state of Wisconsin...every year! They recently beat Illinois #1 and Minnesota's #1 and are something like #15 in the country. My last wrestling post I promise. Rapids couldn't touch Waukesha in baseball though.

Boston bore the brunt of this storm...presently we have close to 30" of fresh, powdery, white junk....will not see the ground till summer...but all is right with the world...the Patriots are going back to the Superbowl

The Governor declared a state of emergency yesterday...courts are closed and State employees have the day off...everyone has been urged to stay home if they are nonessential but the traffic on the Expressway this morning indicates that people are going into work...all schools are closed...but it is not nearly as bad as the blizzard of 78

I remember a blizzard around 1970 or 1971. Our house faced north at the end of a 200 foot driveway. The snow drifted up to the eaves. All you could see was the roof from the road. We had to call a guy with a payloader to dig us out three days after the storm.

Halfmoonslider. You might be wright about about the baseball. But it sure would be a fun game. I lived in the Waukesha, New Berlin area for 28 years,still have family there. Its is A great area for athletics.

We gotta feel good about something here, cause you gotta hold on wrestling in Rapids!
