Aidan is having a ball this season. These are from the cage last week. I have been told that pitching to him from a lower position would be a good idea to help him with his bat plane and hand path.

Are we on the right track from what you see and do you see anything glaring that you would suggest working on? I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks for that input. I'll take a closer look at the slotting.

The main issue he is having right now is timing. He hits like mad in the cage, but then again I don't vary the pitch much. He doesn't get many good pitches to swing at during games so i like to let him get the feel of the sweet spot on the ball during practice. I know I need to change it up, but I also think the confidence he gains from making good contact with a good swing is as important as anything right now. He's hitting in games. There just not the solid contact pure drives he's hitting in the cage. I'm ok with that as long as he's having fun. When I worry about it I look at what he's facing in games. One pitch for a strike, one pitch at his head, one pitch two feet behind him, another strike if he's lucky, then one pitch that bounces in the dirt five feet in front of the plate. I don't worry too much at this point. I tell him if he continues to take good swings good things will happen. He and I both believe that so that what we concentrate on.

Thanks again,

Tim
