Any chance your son is one of them?

Nope. But we know quite a few of them. I even coached one of them 5 or 6 years ago (LL minors fall ball).
Really shows that despite the advancements being made in the Midwest & Great Lakes, a vast majority of these players are from Baseball hotbeds and warm weather states. Which makes sense and is completely understandable
Us "flyover folks" still have a long ways to go!
We may have a ways to go but they get all the chances to be seen as well. And they may develop faster cause if the weather but in the long run those that want to can catch up. But even if we do catch up we won't get the opportunities like those from the south. It's also a culture thing. 3and2 as you know particularly northern Wisconsin is way more into the outdoors. And I am just guessing that if you took a Minnesota hockey all star team vs a Georgia hockey all star team... We'll probably wouldn't be close. So yes we have less kids per capita even interested in baseball. However our best aren't much different than their best.
Congrats to the young men who made it!
