2010 Players....

East played McKinney last weekend -- I was impressed with Lipka but didn't get to see Lee pitch (he does have great size). I was impressed with Ford when East played West. Good times ahead for these kids.

I hear there's a pretty stout fish at Boyd, but shhhh, his dad posts here.

Conner Zmolak has had an excellent season at East.

Another from Team Kelly is Brian Ragira 3B & P from Arl. Martin, not on varsity yet but he is a player and will be heard from in the next few years.

2010's are hard to recognize unless you know of them personally because there are some pretty good ones down on freshman and JV teams since the high school coaches all have a little different philosophy for playing Freshmen. Here's my list of D/FW guys, and I know I am probably leaving several guys out. I feel the following guys have a bright future on the diamond (though some are pretty good on the gridiron as well!)

I'd like to add some kids to that list.

Kurt Karlstromer from Plano.. Dont know what HS he goes to but this kid is as tough as they come. I love the way he plays.

Ryan Merritt from Celina. Nice left handed pitcher. He can dominate when he's on.

Who do these guys play for in the summer? Probably a better chance to see several of them at a time in summer ball vs. school ball.

Chase Weaver, Richardson. Needs a defense and offense behind him on Varsity. This might be a long four years of Varsity experience for this kid. Good Sized Left Hander and a great Curve ball.

I would have to agree with both of those guys. I love watching Kurt play. He plays hard all the time. Great kid!

How fast do these guys throw? I know there is more to it than that, but this pitching stuff is all new to me, so I am trying to get a point of reference.
