OP,
Did I read correctly that Appleby walked none but hit six? I can't believe that didn't cause some "controversy" during the game.
We had a wild one out here in East Texas....
Longview Pine Tree 5
Marshall 4
13 innings
WP: Jeff Thompson
LP: Dameon Smith
Little Crawdad (Brian Shore) got the start and got a 9 inning No Decision: 9IP, 4R, 1ER, 4H, 13K, 2BB
This game was tied 4-4 in the 3rd inning and then went 9 consecutive innings with no scoring.
Brian hit the go-ahead and winning HR in the top of the 13th - Jeff then held off Marshall in the bottom of the inning to collect the win for PT.
Very well pitched game by the PT and the Marshall pitchers.
Pine Tree is now 11-2 on the season and 2-0 in district 12-4A.

Seems there are several very good freshmen this year -- as projected a few months ago. Freshmen are contributing at McKinney, McKinney Boyd, Plano East, and Plano West....just to name a few. Fun to watch.
A game to remember, crawdad -- congratulations to cd-son!

"They were standing on top of the plate," said Gatewood of the Titans batters. "Their plan was to get on top of the plate, and we talked to the umpire early because we thought they went over the line. But [Appleby] is a veteran pitcher, and he adjusted his game."
Thanks JA. Zach did well last night, as did yours!
I hope ya'll continue the streak with North next week.

Thanks for the kind words. I am not sure which player you are - but I can say you did well, because your whole team played a great game! It was a battle and I am looking forward to the next time the two teams play (hoping mine is not pitching so I can enjoy it a little more!). Good luck the rest of the season.
