Believe it or not, way out here in East Texas it did NOT rain....

Longview Pine Tree vs. Nacogdoches - both teams were 5-0 so this was for the district lead.

Pine Tree - 3
Nacogdoches - 0

WP - Brian Shore 7 IP, 0 R, 4 H, 8 K, 0 BB

Justin McAninich took the loss for the Dragons but he pitched a great game giving up only 3 hits and 1 earned run.

12-4A now looks like this:

PT 6-0
Nac 5-1
Hallsville 4-2
Kilgore 4-2
Marshall 2-4
Whitehouse 2-4
Henderson 2-4
Jacksonville 0-6

Pine Tree closes out the first round next Tuesday at home against Hallsville (Linty's old high school). Probable starting pitching will be Justin Jenkins for Hallsville and Jeff Thompson for Pine Tree. Should be a great game.

Good luck to everyone today at their "rain outs".
