I might be wrong, but it appeared to me that the pitching in 5-5A was exceptional last season. I presume that while it will be good this season, it will be difficult to have "as many" really tough throwers this time around.

As for GHS...both district starters graduate to their respective D-1s. Therefore, very unproven pitching upcoming. GHS may have to win some 13-12 games to snag the last playoff spot...That was not necessary last season as those two guys came in as sr's with plenty of V mound experience and kept them in most games.

Sky, NW is playing good and they got a player back that looked like he was going to miss the season. Now they have another bat that will contribute. But with only two pitchers trying to make it through each game, not sure how that is going to work out. And sorry but it looks like this district is a little weak this year so that is helping. NW should make the playoffs this year. Now I know they are just freshman but they are 14-2 and look strong and in a couple of years NW might have something to talk about.
