PG 14u Series Classic vs 14u National Showcase

Anyone know the differences between the two? It looks like they are both invite only events. My son was invited to the 14u National Showcase. Another teammate was invited to the Series Classic. His mom is asking me what the Series Classic is and is it worth going. But I don't know much about it. I couldn't find the event on PG's website. I actually had to Google it to be able to find the event page for it.

We were invited to both. The National Showcase is more selective from my understanding a a feeder for the 14U festival over labor day which is televised.

So we decided to go ahead and go to the 14u National Showcase. In looking at the attendee list, there are already 8 kids committed to D1 schools. Was looking at last years event and there currently 36 of those kids committed to D1 schools. So it looks like it may be worthwhile to go and see how he measures up to this talent pool level
