'tis the season. As you know, Francis, there are some schools (typically a handful of JC's and D2's) that get huge turnouts in the Fall. A few of these schools actually list the working roster in the Fall and don't bother updating the paired final roster until returning for the Spring semester. There are also some that have V and JV programs and will list all on roster.
I am directly familiar with three JC's here in Calif. that get 90+ every fall and a few D2's that get 60-80. Final rosters are an entirely different story.
Number are an issue if you’re reaching. If you know you fit and you’re being hotly pursued chances are numbers is not an issue.
Maybe they have a JV developmental squad?
