The State of Missour has a program that is called the A Plus Program. It is simply that any high school student that attends a participating school can qualify for 2 years of paid tuition and books at any Missouri Community College or Technical School. The requirements are very simple as well:

1) The student must carry a 2.5 GPA throughout their HS years. Simply must carry a "C" average.
2) The student must maintain a 95% attendance ratio throughout their HS years. Simply come to school
3) The student must not be involved in crime or drugs. Simply be a good kid.
4) The student must perform 50 unpaid hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring. Simply be a teachers assistant one semester of their high school career.

By performing the above 4 items at a participating Missiouri High School, the student can go to college basically FREE for 2 years. This is a wonderful program that many kids do not participate in for some reason or another.

Some of the 4 year schools even offer an A Plus scholarship to students that have participated in the program to entice the student to attend a 4 year school rather than a 2 year school.

Every college coach in Missouri is aware of this program as the question always comes up......"Are you an A Plus student?" Of course this saves the athletic departments money at the colleges as well.
Juco's effectively get a player for "Free."

What a fantastic deal! Does any other States offer this type of program?
Respect the game.............and yourself.
