New Trier vs. Niles West @ Niles West should be a good one. They have each beat each other once this year so this will be the tie breaker and a chance to reach the sectional finals!!
Hopper--are you hopped up? Niles West will get smoked--they will not score any runs and the Trevians will eventually and undoubtedly prevail.
At this stage in the game anything can happen. New Trier is a very beatable team . They needed 8 innings to squeak by Glenbrook South .

I am well versed in the cliches of baseball and I understand that "anything can happen." However. The Trevs are not playing in that shoebox at GBS but rather a big field condusive to their speed and defense. Plus, Niles West is not GBS and I stand by my statement that the Trevians will have little trouble with the Indi. . . oops, I mean the Wolves

I'm looking forward to the Elmwood Park/Oak Park-River Forest game.
My biggest concern is that Niles West comes with their game faces on and that New Trier is not counting their chickens before they hatch. I think that Niles West will have to manufacture some runs and hopefully they aren't just swinging for the fences. Also I hope that the men in blue let the game be played between the lines and that it is an even playing field for both teams.
Not to disrespect Niles West, but I'm with ballyall. New Trier I think will handle Niles West pretty easily. I think at this point New Trier who only used one pitcher in their regional final will have a huge advantage over Niles West who had to use 3 and played two days later. Also while Niles West did beat New Trier, they got beat 10-0 by them the other time they played. All in all I think New Trier's game vs GBS was much tougher for the Trevs than this game will be. Now the sectional final...that could be interesting.

Picking New Trier to beat niles west wasnt exactly a bold statement . You also said they were going to hold the wolves scoreless.
Did Schnitzer pitch for vernon hills ? How did kennedy jr. fare ?
No Schnitzer, I don't know the name of the kid who pitched, but he did a fine job. Kennedy Jr. threw Monday's game against ZB and was due to pitch Sat. Warmed up when Mario got in a bind, but wasn't needed. I am being told the pitcher for VH was Zack Schwartz.
