Should be a heckuva tournament in Denver, Colorado this week (June 7-12). First AABC tournament of its kind for the 18U level outside of the Regional Tournaments. Out of the twenty-four teams, six are from Texas with four of them from Dallas. The winner gets to play in Farmington, NM for all the marbles in August.

I would like to thank everyone for voting me Coach of the Year. I am so blessed and excited to recive such an award by this panel.

I plan on receiving this award in Colorado at the end of the tournament. DBAT GM I wish you would be around to present it to me but I am sure your train left days before the tournament ended.

Will you be receiving your award in the consolation bracket game or will it be an honorary award from the South Dakota team?

Dallas Tigers -#1 the rest 2-8.

No team compares to this years Tiger team....nobody! And our coaching staff is #1. WOW, did I say something nice about a coach!!!!!

I think the two Cherry Creek teams, Lubbock, South Dakota, Albuquerque, KC, DBAT, and the Wildcats might have something to say about that.

OP the Rockwall boys are playing lights out.
Cade is catching every other game and playing a mean 1st base when not catching. He went yard in first game.Taylor is on fire, hopefully he'll stay that way.2-3 run jacks for the kid and playing lights out at short. The Cats are in great shape pitching wise so it should be quite
a weekend.Chad is being Chad but is still pretty beat-up from hs season.

Sharp and (Cheapseats help me)- 15's (2 teams)
Gustovson(sp) and Wortham - 16's (2 teams)

Sharp and Abate - 15's (2 teams)
Gustafson and Wortham - 16's (2 teams)
Wade and (Hendricks or Ross?) - 17's (2 teams)
Carpenter and (Hendricks or Ross?) - 18's (2 teams)
Mustangs A and B who cares. Clinard is a great pitcher but whether your on a or b you are still out there playing. As for the Wildcats, We are tearing it up and putting together a great tourny. What is this I hear about DBat getting destroyed by a South Dakota team. Then what happened to the tigers, did i here correctly that neither Beavans nor Green have pitched, hats off to the pitchers that did but don't you need to be in the championship to win. Come on now, to think any tourny is a walk in the park is rediculous in the fact your ego has to be inflated to believe that. South Dakota has baseball, Since when? With all that being said no matter who makes it out of here alive they will be a force to be reckoned with in Farminton.
If AABC is going to survive they will have to compete with the alphabet soup sanctioning bodies of the world AAU, CABA, NBC, etc.... As long as really good teams win the qualifier I think it wont be a problem. Everyone knows the best team isnt always the one that gets to go to Farmington. I especially like it when Texas teams win!!! Go DBAT and Wildcats!
The reason AABC is still considered by many to be the "league" is because it is one of the last true "World Series'".

They don't need to compete with other sanctions. The good programs and good baseball people know what is legit or not.

Now, in saying this, you are correct. A qualifying team generally is a very good team but..........................

a Championship Tournament or World Series should be what it is..............

teams that have earned the right to play for a championship by qualifying through each round of post season play.
