The American Baseball Coaches Association national convention starts tomorrow in Grapevine, Texas. Is anyone going? If so drop me a PM.

Yes, I was there Th, Fri, & Sat. It was attended by over 8,000 people. The hotel does not lay out very well for that big of a crowd so navigating the hallways was a challenge. However, there were some really good presentations, especially by the guy in charge of pitching development with the White Sox. Talks by Stanford & USC HCs were excellent also. The exhibit hall had everything imaginable and I picked up some training aids - weighted balls and glove for my grandson. Also saw coaches that are recruiting players that I currently coach so that was good too. It’s always a great event but man it’s a lot of people. Seems to be more youth and travel ball guys every year.

Great report. The White Sox Coach is Brian Bannister one of our former Area Code players.

Always seems like a cool event to go to and just listen to the speakers. I also noticed a handful of the travel ball coaches that I know/follow on social media, were in attendance. Saw that PG was promoting that they were there. So if PG is starting to hype the event, you know the travel ball organizations will follow in attendance.
