My son is a sophmore varsity pitcher and is doing very well. The reason for this post is that there is a senior player on my son's team who is a very good ball player. My son who even though he missed his freshman year has been to a few camps and did his first P.G.State Showcase. He still has plenty of time to be seen. Steve who is a 07 (hope it's ok that I use his name) hasn't been seen by anyone. I talked to his travel coach who didn't want to interfere with the high school coach and was under the impression that his high school coach was working with him. I even talked to a couple of college coachs about him and had Steve fill out college questionnaire's. He turned them into the varsity coach to help fill in the blanks and mail in. Talked to his coach who said he hadn't gotten around to filling them in yet. Steve thought his coach was going to take care of everything. Talked to Steve yesterday and told him he and his parents need to step up and take control of this. Have no problem helping my son because we set a time table to get things done but with Steve it's almost to late. Told him I would try to help him and that is why I'm posting this. He plays in the Baltimore Metro league in the summer and plays against kids older then him.
Positions are Pitcher, infielder. Fast ball tops at 86 and although he plays shortstop his select coach says he projects better at second.
He's 5ft 11 about 220 lbs (guessing on weight) and very solid with huge lower body. Hits for power and average.
H.S. Stats to date are avg.529
Pitching W-4
L-1
S-1
ERA.0.97

Hoping to get some advice on camps or showcases that will really help him and not just put money in some one's poctet. Any contacts of coachs or colleges that are still looking for players would really help. Even though I coach a summer select team I'm a little over my head trying to help this kid.

Thanks in advance for any help.
