The easy answer to that is yes. and at the most common angle/offset of release point for 3/4 arm righty and lefty.  Feeding the machine should include raising your arm up and letting the hitter see you put the ball in, doing that at a common tempo every time, simulating the pitchers timing.

Hopefully someone has some answers on how to replicate appropriate Vertical break, as typical pitching machine issues are noted as not being realistic in the amount of carry they produce.  IF that can even be done.
