Fan, there are many ways to teach it, only so many ways to do it. Each is an individual and will find his own way after hearing and learning the true path to success. Those who try to stray from the path of learning do not usually find success. Those who work on it religiously and have that special talent to be successful at it, become best at it. Many of them become teachers in turn.

Ours is not to judge but to teach, each will follow his own course and eventually reach his destination.
I have maintained there is not one way to hit. I also believe almost every coach can only teach one way. In that way it is like religion.

There are a menu of ways to do things in real life, but most coaches here are no stride, dead hands, its all rotation, its no linear in spite of seeing it different from one major leaguer to the next.

I think also that some who teach certain set drills or techniques might be right for one stage of development, but not all ages or stages.

Although it is confusing, I believe the best hitting minds I've been around or read are right here on this website. I wish TRHit, Vance34, BlueDog, PGStaff, Coachric, Midlo, Shepster, Diablo and others would agree to write a hitting book. It could be titled "Hitting My Way, No My Way, No My Way.." (That was a weak attempt at humor).
