Yes.  It would tell me the attitude of the coach. Why would a coach be unwilling to look at new developments in baseball that would give his catcher fresher legs and make framing the low ball easier?

I would get not doing the OKD with a runner on.  That's a much higher skill set, but if you can demonstrate it?

You have to have some belief in the coach's philosophy to commit to play for them. Son always talked to coaches about pitching, hitting and general play philosophies to see what the coach said and if he could buy in to the program.

Refusing to use a widely accepted technique would be definite concern.
