Any breakout players this year?

Robby Newman, from Salem, has had a strong freshman year pitching and hitting

Kyle Madiera, a transfer in from Chicago to Salem has had a large positive impact helping out Salem this year. Kyle has been our best pitcher and he has been hitting pretty good as of late

How about Jeremy Bordeaux at Cox who is 5-1 or 6-1 on the mound and just beat Kellam on Monday.

Beemer Weems is having a great year. Of course we knew he was very good, but how many HR's does he have, 6 or 7?

Austin Wright at FC who has had a great year showing some power and showing some great leadership there. Hard work pays off!!!

How about Ryan Craine on the leaders for strike outs in the paper and shutting down PA eagleone?

Thanks for the note. I didn't want to thump my chest too loudly. He is having a great senior season. It is amazing how growing 5 inches in a year can help your fastball.

Have they gotten a gun on him at all this season? If so, what has he topped out at?

I don't believe they have. They have a gun but they don't use it very often. Not sure why. Seems some teams use it every inning of every game and others hardly ever.

Any breakout players in Northern VA?

Junior Nick Wilson has pitched extremely well this season for Bayside in the Beach District. He shut down Princess Anne for 6 innings striking out 10 before running out of gas in the 7th. PA scored 4 in the 7th and escaped with a 6-4 win. He also was the winning pitcher against Ocean Lakes this week (5/18). Bayside started 4 freshman this year and has good pitching coming back next season. Look out for those Marlins in '06.

Theres this little player named Justin Upton, he has had a pretty good year. Went pretty much unnoticed this year......SIKE!!
