Funny, I was surfing the web earlier today and stumbled upon an announcement. Here is a link to the event's Home Page.

There are some top teams invited and it should be quite a contest. infidel_son's team will be in school that week and can not attend. (Who knows if they were even considered for an invitation???) Their spring break this week seems to be washed out with rain.

CaBB, please report back on how the tournament goes. Best wishes to CaBB son and his team.
St. John's spotted them a 3-0 lead, then came back to win, 6-3. Scott Silverstein broke a 3-3 tie with a 2-run HR and L.J. Hoes drove in an insurance run, then closed it on the mound as well.

Wish I could say the same for James River. Daniel Marrs gave them 5 strong innings, but a 2-out, 2-run hit in the bottom of the 7th beat them, 3-2.

Hopefully we can find our bats Tuesday to make a better show of our last three games.
Son's team is 2-1. Lost big to Seminole Ridge FL with our #3/4 pitcher but came back the next day to defeat Calvert Hall 10-1. Today we played Christian Brothers TN and won 6-4. Eichhorn pitched against Calvert Hall and had 12 K's. Anderson pitched today against CB. Our team was really impressed with the hitting by the CB players.

Has been a really fun, well organized tournament with beautiful weather. The easteners are happy to be playing in the warm weather. Have watched some great bb. Gerrit Cole of Orange Luthern was really impressive with his 96 mph fastball. Tomorrow the fun continues for us in the consolation championship. We will play Jupiter FL and hope to give them a good game (although they're pretty stacked!)

Midlo Dad, talked to one of your coaches today @ ElDorado hs as the team was practicing. Nice guy. Good luck to you tomorrow.
