My 2017 will be there, invited to try out as a pitcher at the All Academic Game on Thursday(they were full at the catcher spot and he also pitches, so he is glad to at least have that chance) and then to play catcher with his team over the four days and maybe get a couple of innings on the mound Saturday or Sunday morning.

Not that you would add any more pressure by being there, but he has a number of coaches who asked for his schedule so that they can watch him in action at one of the games.  I'm going to hang in the background and try and take notes to see who actually shows up to watch him.  And I will try to not reflect on the reality that this is really the end of the road for him to "showcase" his skills.  He still does not know what is at the end of the road, but I really hope he has some fun over the next few days and does well in front of the interested coaches.

My 2017 will be there.  He is trying out as an outfielder in group 2 for academic game.  He plays for Cardinal Baseball (CA, looks like Stanford uniform), and wears #61.  Good luck to your son

my 2017 is in same group!  #37 Team Hawaii Blue, navy top with light blue piping.  Traveling with Mom this year.  I'll pm you, SWV.

Mine was selected.  Will be pitching to 6 batters in the bottom of the 4th inning.  Good thing he kept the dual position option going.

This is a great opportunity for the kids who tried out.  There must have been over 50 coaches/watching tryouts and it looks like even more for the actual game.

Anybody who plays on one of the travel teams invited to the AZ Fall Classic should definitely sign up for this game if they have the academic merit.
