As I look down the road

Today I turned 15. Last night I started to wonder where I want to be and how I want to get there. A year ago I wouldn't know what to expect or how it would happen. But now, I have only been a regular here for about 6 months, but i know what to expect and what most likely what will happen. I also know how much I will need to improve to get where I want to go.

You may ask why I wrote this; I wrote it to tell everyone here at HSBW that this is the greatest tool anyone can have.

So I really want to thank everyone here. Espeically Mn-Mom and Bob Howdeshell for bringing this wonderful site to everyone who acceses it.

Keep working hard and in 2 or 3 years take a serious look MU in Columbia, Missouri. They have a good baseball team and an even better journalism school. The way you write for a 15 year old, that may be your future. Maybe find the best of both worlds in sports journalism.

Happy Birthday, TN1, and thanks for your thoughtful post. I think your future sounds bright indeed, but please consider changing that avatar. You may not be aware of this, but at UC Berkeley, the Haas School of business is one of the best in the country (and, let me say this in the nicest possible way,,, their mascot is a BEAR not a TREE)....

Congratulations and Happy Birthday. It sure looks like you're mastering the most important part of being a student athlete who hopes to play beyond high school...that is, mastering your education. I'm very impressed with how articulate you are for someone who just turned 15. Way to go, you should be very proud of the young man you're becoming. Keep up the great work! Chase your dreams!
