I'm seeing this title more often lately. Just what exactly does it mean? Is it like Vice President to the President? Or is it more like Co-Presidents?

An Associate Head coach has the authority to make decisions as if he were the HC. They are more or less the HCs right hand man and have specific responsibilities.
