There was an earlier story about how cuts were made that I answered and you expressed an interest in my story. First of all Thank you for being interested in my story. Secondly I would like you to know that I made the team this year. I sure didn't realize it at the time but getting cut last year might have been the best thing that ever happened to me. It sure made me work hard so I wouldn't get cut this year. Now between school and American Legion I will have about 60 games to play this year and then I will have to decide to play football or fall baseball. I feel sorry for a kid on my street that got cut he was better than some kids that did not get cut. But he did nothing this winter except sit around eating nachos.

OK I will tell you what happens. I can't believe how nice some of you people are to people that you don't even know. I read alot of the stories here and I see there are alot of really good players parents and really good coaches. I hardly ever answer but I learn alot of stuff. So far I can't say very much about myself except this winter when I was working on hitting at a Community college the head coach says I hit the ball harder than some of his players. He said he sent 60 players to D-1 college and 4 to the pros and I have the best bat speed he's ever seen for somebody my age. I thought that was cool.My Dad was a really good pitcher and a really good hitter so he played outfield when he didn't pitch and really hurt his arm bad that's why he never wanted me to pitch. When I got cut last year he says all bets are off now and I started pitching. When I was at the Community college I found out about taking lessons from their pitching coach and he was great so I will be doing some pitching this year.
Max,

Thanks for getting back to us with the update and way to go. After seeing the attitude you displayed in your previous post I had no doubt you would make it. And remember if you keep that never give up attitude it will yield positive results through out your life.

Now you have to keep us up to date on how your season goes. Also you might want to share your experience with your friend who did not make the team. If he is not a senior hopefully he will get motivated the way you did and next season he will make the team.
