First I would like to congadulate the Central Florida Express for their wins in both AAU and Elite 24.
CFE are a very solid team that does not beat themselves.

As far as the tournament goes it did not live up to my expectations. I feel that by adding the teams that they added at the end it was not all it was suppose to be. We beat one of the added teams 23-0 in three innings going one base at a time after we scored 12 in the first.

Other than that the tournament was run great. I also do not like the format. In my opinion it should be double elimination all the way through. (just my opinion)
Teams I saw Play well
CFE
N. Alabama Vipers
California gold
OC Juice
SEM Pirates were a triple AAA team but you would not have known it, they were s****** and had a never quit attitude.
Team Action
OKC Braves
Spartanburg Phillies I did not get to see them play
I also did not get to see the Memphis Tigers play as well but they had a very good showing in the tournament.

I will be happy to answer any questions taht you have. sorry about the ramble but I just got home and I am very tired.
Beezer, They looked very solid. We played them in our bracket of 6 teams. they hit a couple of very hard balls but they were right at us. We only had two hits when we palyed them but we were able to play small ball and get the win.

Callaway, Thanks for the support. I was dissappointed that we did not win but was very happy that Garrett had a good tournament. He started catching the game when we played the OC Juice and started off both rallies with a leadoff base hit while the top of the line up was struggling. Our team struggled on offense for most of the tournament. We didn't hit any HR's for the tournament (250 ft fences) nor did we hit many balls that were drove. Most of our hits were hard singles that we would string two or three together steal a couple of bases that would allow us to score.
I think that CFE is the best team we played all year at 11u. They know how to WIN and from what I saw play as a team. With that said I still believe that they are beatable just like all teams are. They pitched a real good lefty at us. He was not overpowering but could hit his spot with what looked like 3 different pitches. We lost the game because we made 2 errors in one inning which is something our team does not do either.

I would like to give one play that happened in our game and get your opinions of what the correct call should have been.

Runner on first with 2 outs hard line drive down the left field line runner on first is moving on contact and scores batter goes all the way around and scores. It turns out that the left fielder slid to get the ball and knocked it over the fence. What is the correct call.

As far as the Juice they are a good team that they have only changed 2 players since the 9u year from what a fan had told me. They started a lefty that threw a lot of offspeed and he held us to three runs for the first two innings. They changed in the third and we lit up the next pitcher.
The second best team we played were the N. Alabama Vipers who have a strong program at 12u as well. We were able to steal pretty easy on the Vipers because there pitchers all used a high leg kick from the strech.
I agree about CFE. They threw the lefty against us and we hit him fairly well. We made an error with 2 outs while we were up 3-1 in the 4th. The next 2 batters went back to back to go up 5-3 on us. Oh well, maybe next time.

The Juice threw Carlson at us last year and his slidepiece was dirty. Our kids weren't used to that and we couldn't adapt.
We hit his FB pretty well but he rang us up on the CB.

I haven't seen NAV this year. After last year, they dumped 4-5 players and recruited kids who played up all last year.

Who else impressed you?
