dennis...I have to tell you that I can't be objective about UIC because I've followed Mike Dee's career since he played for Benet Academy years ago; followed him into Wisconsin for his high school career; college; and, then high school coaching in Wisconsin and then to the University of Minnesota, where he was the pitching coach for many years.

I just like the guy. I don't know Sean, his assistant well, but based on what they've done and are doing, they will be fine. Just take a look at their stadium; what they've done there for the past few years; and, what is on the drawing boards. Breath-taking view of CHicago's skyline over centerfield at night/daytime! UIC just needs a few thousand dorm students and I would guess they'll have a football team. Probably do as well as the poor Illini.

UIC is a program on the rise.

They've picked up RZ's son (freshman)and now I see that Todd Schultz, of, is coming on board next year. Todd played on the UDC team and is a quality outfielder/hitter.

I'm looking forward to seeing a few more games this spring, as time permits.

Look for them to compete for their league title again and, hopefully, win a game or two in the regionals.

Definitely a program on the rise!

Can't wait. It's been a bit cold for Atlanta this past week, but we're in full swing. First intersquads are Saturday and Sunday, and we open up on Valentine's Day against the #3 Team in DIII, Christopher Newport (Newport News, VA). I'm working hard, and controlling only those things I can control. I hoping for a decent amount of time this year, but with a senior catcher ahead of you, I probably will only get 5-10 starts in 45 games. Whatever I can get, I'll be thankful for.

Get in touch with my dad. I'm sure he'd love a hotdog and coke sometime... especially if it was on you! Say Hi to Ryan, and reiterate my congradulations on Princeton.
