January 18th starts the 5th Annual Winter Training Workouts run by Baseball U. There are 7 spots open in the camp. The format at the camp is 2 hours of training for 8 weeks. The camps are run on Saturdays with the exception of two Monday holidays.

For $37 dollars an hour a player can receive exposure and get in shape for the high school season.

Each week different college coaches come in to work with the players. Rutgers, Villanova, Temple, Monmouth, LIU, Stony Brook, Brookdale, Eastern and Marist have already chosen their dates to attend. More have to check with their practice schedules. Various MLB scouts will come into the workouts to evaluate and instruct as well.

The workouts are able to set up two complete full infields with pitching, catching and outfield stations. Infielders and outfielders are able to make throws up to 200 feet if needed.

There is a hitting camp in February that many of the college coaches will be coming back to for an offensive evaluation.

A middle school camp is also offered by the organization.
