Plano and South Garland both played an outstanding game. The pitching and defense were outstanding for both teams with the Plano left fielder made one of the best catches you will see at any level of competition. Plano is a quality program--players, coaches and parents.

Regardless of which team you were for it was a great night at the ballpark. The umpires was some of the best I have seen in HS recently.

There is a possibility that Plano and South will play again soon and hopefully it will be the same type game, just the results need to be different.

Good luck to the Wildcats!
Ok... this is what I have gotten out of Plano's performances from their last 3 games... Stanford has looked completely dominate with 20 SO's so far, 0 earned runs, and he has to be throwing upper 80's if not 90. Also, Parten looks like a young stud and has 2 of the 3 wins for plano. Parten is another hard thrower that can bring it around mid to high 80's. He could be one of the better closers in the area. Also, the lefty Davis isnt a hard thrower but he seems able to place the ball where ever he wants. He will get the job done for Coach Robertson. The only major down-side to Plano's preformances seems to be their hitting. It takes them a while to start swinging the bat. Other than that great job to the Wildcats so far.

I was able to make it to a few games that Plano West played in this last week and THEY CAN HIT!!! They look very impressive so far.

Sorry PD, I haven't YET made it out to an East game but I can't wait to see the Panthers... I have heard good things.

I may be a bit biased because Parten has thrown for my summer team the past three years, but he is an outstanding pitcher. Way ahead of most juniors in his composure and ability to work hitters. Once he gets a full year of varsity experience under his belt, he will be making a lot of noise. The kid is good.

Stanford is another stud arm for sure. He has really good stuff and again, knows how to control the game. That whole pitching staff has the potential to dominate not to mention all the weapons they have defensively and offensively. The scary thing is they will only get better the more experience those boys get at the varsity level.

East is fine...thanks. Last night's loss spoiled this website's dream of all three Plano teams finishing the season undefeated. Big Grin

As we've discussed, East's pitching is solid as is their defense. The Panthers' challenge will be scoring runs....but that appears to be the case at Plano Central as well.

There will be many good 9-5A matchups.
