Not so sure what you mean-

I teach what I see the top MLB players doing, and I try to emulate that in my swing. There is no casting of the hands toward the ball, it is a rotational swing, allowing the baseball to come to you. Rotate hips, drop elbow, and have top hand palm up driving through the ball. There is a definite weight shift- you notice elite MLB player's back foot coming off the ground at contact, with front foot firm.
A guy I like to watch is Albert Pujols. When he starts his swing, he has his little toe touch, then a little dip of the bat. But you notice his elbow drops, and his bat is almost immediately on the same plane as the ball. That is why he has such great plate coverage, because he gets his bat into the proper position very quickly. SO, If you are looking for a very specific answer, I guess I would have to go with(after your load, and hips begin to turn) tucking that back elbow. I didn't realize I was signing up for a test..haha
