Ice/cooler, chairs, tape/pre-wrap, zip lock bags for ice packs, snacks/drinks, sunglasses, radio/headphones, laundry supplies, sunscreen. For high school games which here run from mid February until May, we carry our "Arctic pack" with blankets, gloves, extra sweatshirts, the "Sport-cat heater", etc. Always have at least a couple of umbrellas in the truck.
For my younger daughter, a backpack filled with: crayons, paper, coloring books, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, misc. small toys. Juiceboxes, snack bags, gum, peanuts in the shell (they keep her busy for a long time Cool ) . That is always in the car during baseball season, whether it's for practice or a game. Gives her something to do and saves my sanity.
Good thread ... Here are some of our essentials in support of our road warrior:

My MaxxDaddy chair -- something that we not so pettite people can sit in comfortably for the weekend (www.maxxdaddy.com)

Our Didgeridoonas Cooler Bags -- 1 in the dugout, 1 with Mom & Dad; keeps cold things cold without the weight, slop, and mess of ice (www.didgeridoonas.com.au) ... full disclosure, my 15U player is also the US Distributor (southpaw@rstarmail.com)

The 8'x8' or 10'x10' portable canopy to provide some cover

Propel packets to mix with water, trail mix, protein bars, nutri-grain bars, and other easy to carry quick energy snacks

The portable GPS to help keep us from getting too lost going from ball field to ball field

Re-usable ice pack and ace bandage for quick injury fix and post-pitching cool down

Of course it is always wise to have a cork screw and bottle opener on hand for the long evenings.
We take along one of those pop-up tents/canopy typically used for shade in the summers. However, when it is cold, we also take along tarps. We attach them to the pup-up tent, stake the tarps to the ground, make sure that we have the tent against the chain link fence for stability and strap it all down with bungee cords. Now, we have a wind shelter anyone would be comfortable in. If you want, you can bring in heaters or whatever you'd like for heat. We've had 15 people in our little shelter before in very cold conditions. You have to be careful with the wind and make sure you have good ground stakes to relieve some of the pressure on the tent.

We have a "baseball bag" that has much of the stuff mentioned earlier, plus: Scorebook, pencils, camera, blanket, book(especially at long weekend tourneys), sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a towel that can be used to either mop up sweat or be soaked in ice water to put over the head/around the neck, directions to the field/hotel/school in lieu of the GPS, licorice and perhaps the most important of all..... sunflower seeds!

I don't know how to add a picture, but you need one of these to carry it all...http://www.starrettservice.com/img/details-flatbed-trailer.jpg

In my coach's bucket when my son was younger (and I was still coaching) I kept many of the things mentioned above. Additionally, extra shoelaces resolved mini-emergencies more than once. Also, a leatherman tool, glove repair kit (already mentioned) copy of the rule book for whatever brand of youth baseball we were playing, as well as a tournament bracket and rules packet. Team roster and birth certificate copies. Athletic tape, stopwatch, band-aids, extra belt as at least one kid always showed up beltless, and extra cap. Pens and roster cards. Oh, and a large ziploc bag, you can almost always get ice from the concession for minor medical treatments, but often have nothing to put it in. In my truck tool box I kept the bigger stuff, extra pair of cleats and a few wood bats. Believe it or not, twice is as many years we showed up at a tournament not having been informed it was a wood bat event. This thread brings back pleasant memories.

My player bag was much too long to list.. it's listed in the Player's section and it's like two pages in Microsoft Word!

This past summer when I was coaching, I carried a much smaller bag along with the equipment bags we had to take:

1. Sunscreen
2. Athletic tape
3. Sunflower seeds
4. Propel powder packets
5. Extra catcher's mitt
6. Extra fielder's glove
7. Extra t-shirt
8. Sunglasses case
9. Wallet
10. Keys
11. Pens/pencils
12. Couple extra baseballs-- used game balls in case we needed them
For our D3 games...
Cloth Lawn chairs
Extra blankets (cold in VA/NC in Feb and Mar)
Extra clothes to layer in
Gloves
Cookies (wife bakes cookies for DH snacks)
Cellphone/PDA (to check on weather as needed)
XM radio (for college hoops listening in March)
Cooler...with caffeinated drinks for parents and RedBull for junior
PEANUTS...will go thru a dozen big bags over the season
Video Camera (me)
Still Camera (wife)
Stocked first aid kit with ALEEVE for me
I didn't read the heckles, so pardon me if this is in there.

"Hey Blue. If your eyes were as big as your butt you wouldn't have missed that call."

The umpire who told me this one said he started chuckling until the mother added, "You blind son of a (female dog)." Then he tossed her.
