Florida State has just been added as a participant in the Baseball Pros Combine in November.
Isn't this the "dead period" for Division I schools?
The dead period begins the 10th of November.
(1) Would this not be allowed during the "dead period" as an instructional camp? I know many schools that host instructional camps, esp over Christmas break. It appears that this combine will put the coaches on the field with the players, instructing them "as they would their own college players in spring."
(2) Is this event open to players from outside of Florida? It appears that everything is geared to get Florida kids noticed and that the Florida HS baseball website will host the profiles.

(1)From what I understand, schools can host events on campus but cannot leave campus for any activity during the "dead period."
(2)This camp is open to anyone nationwide. The Florida HS baseball report will host the evaluations, but this camp is not intended to showcase Florida kids alone, at all. We have already have registrations from out of state with more to come.
